Winter Wonderland White Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients

  • 200 g white chocolate chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream divided
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • White chocolate shavings edible silver pearls, and fresh mint for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the White Chocolate Base: Melt the chopped white chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over simmering water (double boiler method). Stir until smooth and let it cool slightly.
  • Whip the Cream: In a medium bowl, whip ¾ cup of the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Set aside in the refrigerator.
  • Beat Egg Whites: In a separate clean, dry bowl, beat the egg whites until frothy. Gradually add the sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
  • Combine: Gently fold the whipped cream into the melted white chocolate, followed by the beaten egg whites. Add vanilla extract and mix delicately until well incorporated.
  • Chill: Spoon the mixture into serving glasses. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
  • Garnish and Serve: Top with white chocolate shavings, edible silver pearls, and a sprig of fresh mint. Serve chilled.
