Equipment

  • Oven, baking sheet, aluminum foil or parchment paper, small saucepan, knife, cutting board, basting brush.

Ingredients

  • 2 racks of pork ribs about 4 pounds
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • Prepare the ribs by removing the membrane from the back of each rack. This can be done easily by sliding a knife under the membrane, then gripping it with a paper towel and pulling it off.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the honey, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the brown sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Place the ribs on a large baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Brush both sides of the ribs generously with the honey BBQ sauce, reserving some sauce for basting later.
  • Cover the ribs with another piece of foil and seal the edges tightly to create a packet. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 2 ½ to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender and cooked through.
  • About halfway through the cooking time, carefully open the foil packet and baste the ribs with the remaining sauce. Re-seal the packet and continue baking.
  • Once the ribs are done baking, remove them from the oven and carefully open the foil packet. Switch the oven to broil and place the ribs under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and sticky.
  • Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
