This latte is a wonderful alternative to standard coffee drinks during the holiday season. It’s easy to make and can be customized to your taste—add more sweetness, a splash of rum extract for a boozy twist, or extra foam for that café feel.

Saucepan, handheld frother or whisk, mug
Ingredients
1cupbrewed espresso or strong coffee
½cupeggnog
½cupwhole milk
1tspvanilla extract
1tbspsugar or sweetener of choiceoptional
Freshly grated nutmeg for garnish
Whipped creamoptional
Instructions
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine eggnog, milk, vanilla extract, and sugar (if using). Heat gently, stirring frequently, until steaming but not boiling.
Froth the mixture using a handheld frother or whisk until creamy and foamy.
Pour the brewed espresso or coffee into a mug.
Slowly add the eggnog mixture to the coffee, holding back the foam with a spoon.
Spoon the foam on top and garnish with freshly grated nutmeg. Add whipped cream if desired. Serve immediately.
