Gingerbread Spiced Tiramisu

A fantastic no-bake option, this tiramisu is easy to prepare ahead of time, so it’s perfect for holiday gatherings or family dinners. The coffee liqueur adds a subtle depth, but it’s optional for those preferring a non-alcoholic version. Topped with a dusting of cocoa powder and a sprinkle of crystallized ginger, this dessert not only tastes divine but also looks stunning on any Christmas dessert table.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee cooled
  • 1/4 cup coffee liqueur optional
  • 1 tbsp molasses
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • Mascarpone Cream
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese softened
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Make the gingerbread soak: In a shallow bowl, combine coffee, coffee liqueur, molasses, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Stir well.
  • Prepare the mascarpone cream: In a mixing bowl, beat mascarpone, heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, ginger, and cinnamon until smooth and thick.
  • Assemble the tiramisu: Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the gingerbread soak and arrange a layer in an 8x8-inch dish.
  • Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining cream.
  • Chill for 4 hours or overnight.
  • Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and garnish with crystallized ginger or grated chocolate if desired.
