Ingredients

  • Cookies:
  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup eggnog
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Cinnamon-Sugar Coating:
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, eggnog, and vanilla, mixing until combined.
  • Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  • In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon for coating.
  • Roll dough into 1-inch balls and coat in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
